The Insights discipline helps empower Rioters' decision-making to be more data-informed. We're an interdisciplinary group of scientists, consultants, and strategists from all sorts of backgrounds who join together to represent and advocate for gamers around the world. We believe that illuminating the globally diverse experiences, behaviors, and needs of gamers is essential to Riot living up to our player-focused mission. The Riot Singapore Insights team (SG Insights) focuses on improving product decisions, primarily on VALORANT (VAL) and Teamfight Tactics (TFT) cosmetics content, e.g. weapon skins, gun buddies, Little Legends, chibis. We collaborate with our counterpart teams in Los Angeles, VAL Insights and TFT Insights, as well as Product Managers in both locations. 

As an Associate Data Analyst (Contract) on SG Insights, you will focus on data projects and research operations in the VAL and TFT cosmetics spaces, and occasionally on Riot Singapore’s studio operations. You will work closely with analysts and researchers in Singapore and Los Angeles to support their portfolio of projects, and help the team execute on core recurring work. These include building high quality dashboards and data pipelines, servicing stakeholder data requests, supporting survey processes, running and improving sustainability on recurring work, and creating knowledge documentation. 

Please note that Riot Games does not offer relocation packages for this position. You need to be able to work legally in Singapore, without Riot Games’ sponsorship, to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and upgrade data pipelines and dashboards 
  • Perform data pulls, analysis, and reporting
  • Perform research operations, such as programming or updating surveys, pulling player sample, requesting localization, and fielding surveys
  • Create and maintain documentation for core workflows, processes, and outputs (data pipelines, reports, survey process, etc.)
  • Identify and pursue sustainability improvements for recurring work

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelors in a quantitative field, such as data science, computer science, business information systems, or statistics
  • 2+ years experience working extensively with large data sets, data analysis, visualizations, and pipelines
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL; proficient in Python and Excel
  • Experience working with or playing free-to-play games, with basic understanding of monetization tactics (e.g. loot/gacha, events, offers)

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience performing data analysis or business intelligence with business, product, or consumer focus
  • Experience working in gaming, tech, or ecommerce
  • Proficient in Databricks
  • Proficient in Spark SQL and PySpark
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Experience writing, updating, or administering online surveys; experience with Qualtrics
  • Deep understanding of free-to-play monetization systems, particular for VAL and TFT
